Recipe: The Candy Corn-tini

Everyone who knows me well is aware of my favorite drink during my favorite month. The Candy Corn-tini is my slightly fizzy, completely spooky twist on the classic martini.

So this Halloween season, I'm sharing! Recipe below.

THE CANDY CORN-TINI

​For the candy corn vodka base:

-Add one cup of vodka to one cup of candy corn in a sealable jar.

-Let it soak in the refrigerator overnight.

-The next day, strain the mixture to remove the candy corn.

​Ingredients:

-2.5 oz. candy corn vodka

-0.5 oz. pineapple juice

-0.5 oz. ginger beer

-3 oz. tonic water

-Ice

-Candy corn, for garnish

​How to Mix:

-Prepare the Potion: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the candy corn vodka and pineapple juice.

-Shake it Up! Shake until the outside of the shaker is thoroughly chilled—about 15 seconds. Add the ginger beer after you shake, otherwise you will have a mess. (Just trust me on this.)

-Strain and Top: Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.

-Top the drink with 3 oz. of tonic water.

-Garnish: Skewer a few pieces of candy corn on a cocktail pick and rest it on the rim of the glass. Or drop them directly in the drink.
