Essay featured in STILL FLOATING
"We all float down here..."
I'm thrilled to share that I have an essay in STILL FLOATING: 40 YEARS OF PENNYWISE, edited by Tom Deady, with contributions from award-winning authors Mercedes M. Yardley, John Langan, Christa Carmen, Gwendolyn Kiste, and many more.
Releasing in September, STILL FLOATING, brings together thirty-three authors, artists, scholars, and publishers to examine IT in-depth, from Stephen King’s four-year writing of the novel to the recent adaptations, and everything in between.
My essay, "The Black Spot: Hanlon and Hallorann in Stephen King’s IT" looks at multiculturalism in both the text and the cinematic and small screen renderings of the world.
This special edition is a collector's dream:
-a 6×9 hardcover;
-stunning artwork by Francois Vaillancourt as a full wrap dust jacket;
-13 original drawings by Glenn Chadbourne;
-signed by the editor.
